David Preston, DC, ARNP, with Bay Area Wellness in St. Petersburg, Florida, has been providing quality, compassionate, and affordable care to his fellow Floridians for nearly 30 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed his medical studies at the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois, now the National University of Health Sciences, with a satellite campus here in St. Petersburg Florida. After graduation, Dr. Preston opened what would become one of the first multi-discipline practices in Pinellas County, Florida, and later moved that practice to St. Petersburg, where he continues to provide comprehensive and targeted chiropractic and medical treatments to his patients. Most recently, he earned his independent nurse practitioner's license, and he continues to work diligently to learn all that he can about innovative techniques that can help him provide the best chiropractic and medical care possible.

I want to let everyone know how wonderful Dr. Phil and the staff at Bay Area Wellness Center really are. I have been seeing Dr. Phil for 3 years. He has worked diligently to aid in my pain relief due to degenerative disc disease and multiple bulged discs. Recently he has been working to relieve pain in my neck due to bulged discs there. His compression therapy and traction machines are a true life-changing experience. For the first time in months I am able to turn my head side to side without extreme pain. Courtney and Brittney see to setting up the apparatus with Dr. Phil overseeing, and it runs for between 5 to 10 minutes each session. The feeling of relief afterwards is just unbelievable.
Dr. Phil's wonderful work led me to bring my 83 year old father in for care as well. He raves about the care he receives and Dr. Phil is always so patient and caring with him with all his ailments.

Fantastic doctor running the clinic, the adjustments always help loosen up my spine, hips, and back and he’s always very informative about my injuries and what they’re doing to help aid in pain relief. They also provide stem services as well as having a decompression chair, however, they don’t have a traction table so if your back is injured there’s no way to specifically target and decompress the area with controlled pressure.
As a bonus they also combine the benefits of physical therapy with the chiropractic services which has really help to strengthen my weak areas that had been previously injured which helps relieve pain, as well as, aid in my mobility. The only issue with the added time for physical therapy is that often there isn’t time left for recovery efforts like stem treatment and spinal decompression.

Dr Coleman and his team are amazing. They took ex rays and went over the issues and made a treatment plan that we agreed apon. I feel much stronger and more balanced. My pain has subsided considerably. I would highly recommend them. They are very knowledgeable and personable which makes my rehab enjoyable to come too.

Bay Area Wellness Center deserves way more than just 5 stars. I have known Dr. Phillip, Dr. Carrie, Courtney, Brittney, and Caden for the last few years, and they are an extraordinary team. For new patients, an exam, X-rays, and the adjustment are performed during the initial visit. The doctors have had over 20 years of experience in the chiropractic field, so patients can trust their knowledge and care. The doctors also give great advice and recommendations for general health, wellness, and fitness questions. Chiropractic care isn’t only for people who have pain or injuries; it’s helpful for athletes and fitness enthusiasts who are constantly training. Dr. Phillip’s and Dr. Carrie’s care have tremendously improved my exercise performance. You also won’t find a more friendly and personable office staff like Courtney, Brittney, and Caden. I would 100% recommend this practice to my family, friends, and every new person looking to establish with a chiropractic office!

I had never been to a chiropractor before so I really wasn't quite sure what to expect coming in.
The entire staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Once I was able to meet with Dr. Phil I understood why it was so important to have your spine and neck checked out. He was able to identify and eliminate my pain I was having almost immediately upon working with me in the brief time we had.
It's been over a day since I had my visit and I catch myself stretching my neck out amazed by the motion and pain-free movement he's given me.
This is definitely someone I would recommend to friends or coworkers.
