Aaron started his training to become a massage therapist in 1989. He then took over the Ballard Health Center from his father. "Growing up seeing my father helping so many people with massage has given me an understanding of the powerful benefits of massage." The testimony I have heard over the years from clients I or my staff has worked with is reflective of our mission statement, to educate our clients of the beneficial effects massage can offer. As our center grows we have encompassed additional modalities such as Acupucture and reflexology. Our goal is to have a complete alternative health center.Seattle's Original Massage Center The Ballard Health Center and Wellness Spa was established in 1950. It's Seattle's oldest established massage center. Ballard Health Center is also a 2nd generation family business. Ballard, known more for it's Scandanavian Heritage, has always looked to natural and alternative medicine as common place healing. The Ballard Health Center and Wellness Spa prides itself on outstanding practitioners that custom tailor their treatment to give each client personalized body work

Nate has been my primary and he's fantastic and amazing as is Benji who I have got to to work with as well! Highly recommend this amazing group! Even the owner spoken with me to reassure me he's got my back working on the authorization. It's a place where I go and feel. So welcome and relaxed!!

Hannah is a talented massage therapist with a calming and friendly demeanor. She was curious about my needs and met every one of them, even incorporating cups and hot stones to target and relax specific areas. I left feeling lighter and was grateful the session was 90mins. Highly recommend booking with Hannah and maxing your time, you won’t want to get off the table!

I first found Ballard Health because a friend highly recommended Tyler Van Hollebeke for a neck injury. That was over two years ago, and I still see Tyler regularly. He is incredibly talented—I’m always amazed that he doesn’t charge twice what he does. I’ve never met anyone more in tune with how the body works or better at finding the exact spots that relieve pain. I’ll always be grateful to Tyler for getting me back on my feet after a serious injury. These days, I see him for “tune-ups,” but I know my recovery would have been much longer and far more painful if I hadn’t found him. He truly is a magician when it comes to healing.

I just moved back to the city and my shoulder and back was in tons of pain. I have an old sports injury that required two shoulder surgeries, and since I’ve dislocated my shoulder so much I have become tense and guarded. Amanda asked me what my needs were, asked for my preferences, and was incredibly warm and welcoming. Okay now to the good stuff…. The massage was the BEST and most beneficial deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. She found the places that I tense up and worked out the knots and tightness. I left feeling like a new person and woke up today ready to go to work. Thank you Amanda, you worked wonders. If you’re wanting targeted and actual firm deep tissue massage— this is your best bet.
