As the founder of New York Sports Medicine Institute, Dr. Neil S. Roth is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine doctor who has been in practice for over 25 years. Dr. Roth started out his educational career by receiving a diploma from Duke University School of Medicine in 1991. He went on to complete a residency and Frank E. Stinchfield Postdoctoral research fellowship at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. He currently practices at the New York Sports Medicine Institute, which is also affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital, Northwell Health, and Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital. Dr. Roth accepts multiple insurance plans, including Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and Oxford (United Healthcare).As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine, Dr. Neil S. Roth founded NYSMI in order to provide patients with the highest level of comprehensive care. While Dr. Roth specializes in knee and shoulder injuries, he has also recognized the need for concussion care in youth sports, as this can critically affect players both athletically and academically. He set out to create the ultimate one-stop-shop for all sports medicine needs, including orthopedic care and surgery, physical therapy, concussion care, and performance training. At NYSMI, we treat patients 3 years old and up who are experiencing mild to severe pain, or in need of injury treatment and prevention.
