Dr. Harpstrite performed my right knee replacement. It was an excellent job and two years later have no problems with it at all. It is actually better than new. He is direct, and actually has a good sense of humor. He recommended "at home" physical therapy which worked wonders for my recovery. It made a huge difference. Note: the surgery is FAST, semi robotic the Dr. Harpstrite at the controls. It only lasted 2 hours, and I was up and walking on it directly after surgery to go to the bathroom. 2 hours later I was HOME !!! Take all of his advice, keep that knee directly locked out straight as possible and touch your heel to your butt as soon as possible. The rest is a few pain pills, and ice machine, keep your foot elevated, binge watch some netflix, and daily therapy and walking around on it every few hours. Although I was told it could take a few months before I could ride my motorcycle again ;-)

I started seeing him shortly after he graduated college I love his Frank attitude and extensive knowledge and openness in discussing and addressing my concerns. His staff is absolutely fantastic and a wonderful and helping me solve my problems they are the best... Britney has been so helpful and so great I wish to thank her for all her kindness. I don't know if it's intuitiveness or just fantastic ability to read and remember his patients but I am having to Wait on my surgery due to cancer. A difficult subject and he handled it just perfectly for me! Just the right amount of information along with listening to my concerns while helping relaxing and making me feel comfortable with everything. WE even joked ... which HELPED ME, RELIEVING TENSION and CONCERNS It was PERFECT for me and just what I NEEDED at that point. CANCER CAN BE VERY EMOTIONAL And He knew me well enough to put me at EASE AND EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED... I cannot even begin to say how much I APPRECIATE HIM... And how he communicates with me both what I needed emotionally and all the information that's important.

I heard nothing but great comments about Dr Harpstrite, so it was a pleasure to meet him. I can now attest first hand how Dr Harpstite"s "bed side manners" is top notch, informative, caring and honest. Kudos to the team in Hilo also. They exemplify the best in customer service. Welcoming, pleasant with a very upbeat attitude. This experience was a great way to start the day. Mahalo to all!
