Katrina has been in practice for almost 40 years having graduated from physical therapy school in 1986 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Her undergraduate studies were at TCU and Texas A&M and she received her doctorate from Utica College in New York. She was first an employee at Hands On Physical Therapy, then became the current owner, and has been at this business for 27 years. Her training is in manual therapy. She has had extensive education in orthopedic manual skills, she is an advanced myofascial practitioner studying under John Barnes and the Upledger Institute for craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage and somatoemotional release, and she is certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as an advanced pelvic health practitioner. Her practice emphasis is on helping men and women suffering from pelvic floor pain and dysfunction. The clinic emphasis is on chronic pain and orthopedic limitations. We are one on one with our clients for 50-60 minutes per treatment.Hands On was started with a strong desire to have a Myofascial Release based therapy practice in Round Rock/Austin areas. I had been using Myofascial Release with my patients since 1988 and was amazed at the results that I was seeing. In 1996, we began training to treat men and women with pelvic floor dysfunction. We have spent those years training with pelvic practitioners from around the world and on occasion, teach other pelvic PT's. We also do dry needling and have recently added a jin shin jyutsu therapist and we offer high intensity infra red laser light therapy. This clinic has attracted therapists who have that same desire. This is what makes Hands On such a great place. Our therapists have a passion for the work and we have extensive manual therapy training so we can incorporate all of our skills to find the best mix for our clients. Hands On provides Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy.
