About

Dr. Christa is one of two doctors/owners of Riverside Chiropractic. She is a Chicagoland native and moved to Seneca in 1999. She got her pre-med education from NIU and graduated with a degree in Biology and minors in chemistry, pyschology and human & family services. Her chiropractic education comes from Palmer College of Chiropractic were she graduated cum laude with special interships in radiology, clinical lab, and pediatrics. She went on to get a 3-year post doctorate degree in chiropractic pediatrics and pregnancy. She remains the only chiropractor in the area with this speciality.Riverside Chiropractic Center was started by Sean Gibbs, BS, DC and Christa Velos, BS, DC, DICCP in 1999. We came to Seneca because we love the river, hence the name, Riverside. But we have to admit, it is our love of this community that keeps us here. We orginally opened with one suite in the River Plaza and then in 2002 added a second suite to the growing practice. Our big move came in 2011 when we purchased and completely renovated our own building at 260 S. Main. With the added space we were able to bring more services to our community such as a second massage suite and a fitness studio for exercise classes and personal training.
