As a highly sensitive person myself, I understand how challenging it can be to feel healthy and good in your body, especially without regular support. We give our cars regular maintenance, how about our bodies? I became a massage therapist because bodywork helped me overcome debilitating chronic pain and tension, and get in touch with who I am and what I really want and need. I bring a diverse range of training and skills, and a lot of compassion to this work. If you're feeling stressed out, stretched too thin, or on edge after a trying experience, Craniosacral Therapy and gentle touch are a powerful way to ground, re-align, and release energy from body and mind. I'm Polyvagal Theory, and trauma-informed, and am a life-long learner both through study and personal experience (I get a lot of bodywork and therapies as self-care myself, and to learn by experiencing), and I do my best to walk my talk.My practice is about getting in touch with what your body knows—what you need, what you don't, and how to heal. I support you to get in touch with what your body is really feeling and saying to you, gently releasing what doesn't serve, relax into being yourself, and feel more balanced, healthy and alive. My style is gentle, safe, nurturing, tender, spiritually connected, and deeply relaxing. I draw on of 10+ years of trainings and professional work in the fields of holistic health/transformational counseling, parts work, emotional eating, gender studies, Anusara Yoga, aromatherapy, meditation and mindfulness, conscious dance, embodiment, trauma work, and bodywork. I am a CA Certified Massage Therapist #81617, and am always learning and growing.
