Born and raised in Sweden, Kenneth Nilsson grew up running. He was a member of the Swedish national track and field team before coming to the United States to attend Point Loma Nazarene University on a track scholarship. Upon obtaining his bachelors degree he went on to Los Angeles Chiropractic College, graduating in 1991. Since then, he has received training to become a certified chiropractic sports physician and a certified medical examiner. He has had his own practice for over twenty years, and he continues to learn and grow, attending conferences and keeping current on the latest research. Dr. Nilsson worked and conducted seminars with Dr. Thie, the co founder of the Applied Kinesiology method of treatment.

Dr. Nilsson and his wife, Paula, a teacher, have been married 31 years. The couple have 3 athletic sons who have competed in track and field events, snow ski racing, and rowing.Dr. Nilsson opened his doors on August 28th, 1995.
