He is bilingual and also studied medicine abroad at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. After medical school, he trained in General Surgery at St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York City and at LAC+USC. He is a also Certified Medical Examiner listed on the National Registry and is able to perform DOT Physical Examinations. He also certified in Acupuncture and Functional Medicine.
