Dr. Lonny McKinzie received his B.S. degree from Missouri State University with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas, in 1990.

Even before graduation, Dr. McKinzie began obtaining advanced training in Specific Upper Cervical adjusting techniques. He has continued to complete postgraduate studies in Upper Cervical radiology analysis and adjusting techniques, as well as, sports injuries, Myofascial release, Chronic pain, Whiplash and Spinal trauma. He is also certified in instrument adjusting using the Torque Release Technique. Dr. McKinzie holds certification in Applied Clinical Nutrition and offers comprehensive nutritional evaluations.

Dr. McKinzie is affiliated with several professional and local organizations and volunteers for ministry organizations offering chiropractic and nutritional care.Dr. McKinzie has been practicing chiropractic since 1990. Dr. McKinzie moved to Tyler after selling his practice in Corpus Christi in 2005. He took over Weaver chiropractic in 2005 and established McKinzie Chiropractic & Nutrition. In 2013, the office relocated to the beautiful Atelier Office Condominiums on Old Bullard Rd.
