Dr. Contryman earned her Master's of Physical Therapy from Northern AZ University. She was NDT (NeuroDevelopmental Techniques) certified in 1995, received her certification as a neurology specialist (NCS) by the APTA in 2000 and recertified in 2012. In 2002, she received her certification as an orthopedic specialist (OCS ) and was recertified in 2012. In May 2002, Kim was awarded her post professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. Later that year, she opened Blue Ridge Physical Therapy, Inc. With a focus on "bringing it all together" utilizing manual skills, clinical reasoning, and incorporating a whole body approach. Neurology and orthopedics form an important part of her treatments.

In addition, Kim is certified to provide a wide range of industrial services, including FCEs/FCAs, job evaluations, and conditioning. She is also a nationally known speaker and provides seminars to a variety of professionals throughout the years.

With both Neurologic and Orthopedic specialty certifications, Dr. Contryman is able to treat a variety of conditions ranging from strokes to back pain. The clinic provides therapeutic massage therapy as well.
