Rick Richardson received his bachelors degree in athletic training and spent 4 years in Indianapolis working with a group of renowned physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons. While there he organized the medical exams for the NFL Combines and worked with the professional teams the Colts, Firebirds, and Blast.

Rick then did his doctorate in physical therapy in Boston, then moved to Arizona to work with Todd Ellenbecker, author of the text "Clinical Examination of the Shoulder". While there he also assisted in medical examinations for professional baseball's spring training. He then returned to New Jersey to be closer to family and worked for many years at Somerset Hills Physical Therapy in Basking Ridge and at Morristown Medical Center.

Rick is now one of less than 15 therapists in the state to be board certified in both orthopedics and sports, and has just opened this office of his own in Bridgewater. He hopes to have a few colleagues join him soon as the business grows.Physical Therapy Center of Excellence is new to the Bridgewater area. Now open in the fitness center of the Advance Realty complex on Route 202/206. We are therapist owned and operated, and have only one location. We are trying to go against the trend in New Jersey of the corporate chain therapy clinics that schedule 3-4 patients per hour with each therapist. We believe that better results are seen with more individual supervision from your therapist. That's why we only see 1-2 patients an hour, because we value our patient's time.
