Since 1990, Chris has been in practice as a Physical Therapist specializing in Spine and Orthopedic care, with a continuing education background and emphasis on Mechanical and Manual Physical Therapy. Chris received his Physical Therapy degree from SUNY Stony Brook. He is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy by the McKenzie Institute. He earned a Board Certification as an Orthopedic Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association as well as being designated as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Chris has lectured on the Management of Spinal Disorders to Physicians, Physical Therapists and the public. He expands his knowledge base through professional affiliations in an effort to continually enhance his skills.Chris Prentiss Physical Therapy officially opened on October 1, 2011, but it actually had been a dream for many years. Our logo was drawn while Chris was in his first year of physical therapy school in 1988.

Our clinic was opened with the idea of putting together a great team of people that were motivated and eager to treat a great group of patients. Our idea was to have a facility that is warm, professional, clean and inviting. We realize that people come to us in pain and we want to make them as comfortable as possible in all aspects of their care here. Customer service, attention, energy and a passion for helping are what we are about.
