I started as a client back in 1999. In 1992, I was involved in a near-fatal car accident where I went from 70 mph to 0 in less than a second. After that night I was in constant, grinding pain every moment of every day. I went through 6 days a week of intense physical therapy and was still told I would never run or play tennis again, and might be in a wheelchair by the time I was 60.

When I finally found Egoscue, I had a ruptured disc in my low back and my pain was so bad I couldn't tie my own shoes, and I was in my late 30s! Long story short, after a year of consistent work I was running and playing tennis again, pain free. Egoscue helped me get my life back and now it's my mission to help others reclaim their birthright of a healthy, pain free body able to function without limitation.The Egoscue Clinic of Austin opened in November of 2003, and actually had the distinction of being the first licensed clinic in the entire Egoscue system. Since that time they've helped thousands of people eliminate pain and get their lives back.

The owners of this clinic, Rick and Theresa Mathes, both started as clients and know what it's like to deal with chronic pain, and more importantly, to experience the victory of overcoming that pain and returning to a life of freedom and full function.

Note: in September of 2022 our clinic resigned our franchise in the Egoscue clinic system and made our clinic independent, and rebranded as Align Pain Solutions.
