Kristen Lum, Dipl. OM., LAc., loves to incorporate ancient wisdom with modern science. After a 3-year apprenticeship and 4 years of coursework at SWAC in Santa Fe, NM, she completed studies in acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and nutrition. Lum graduated summa cum laude with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine becoming a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. 

As an Asian, Oriental Medicine theories from Lum's mother influenced her greatly. However, it was not until her twenties when her health crises remained unresolved, and she felt helpless with Western medicine. Allopathic doctors only prescribed medication for her eczema, chronic fatigue, and menstrual disorders making her more ill. Lum turned to Chinese medicine to harness health from within, rid her body from her ailments, as well as alleviate her lifelong dysmenorrhea, seasonal allergies, and food/environmental sensitivities. From then on, Chinese medicine, including its dietary and lifestyle principles, remained a huge influence.After practicing in the Enchanted Lands of Santa Fe, NM, Dr. Lum relocated her practice to a spacious, beautiful clinic in Beverly Hills.
