Dr. Merritt is the founder of our center and has been a resident of North Carolina since 1982. Dr. Merritt was licensed as a chiropractic physician (D.C.) in 1980 and further progressed to become a Certified Traditional Naturopath (C.T.N.) in 1999. She is also certified in acupuncture (C.Ac.) and in physical therapeutics. The doctor's interest in a total health approach has offered her patients a variety of avenues to achieve healthier and more fulfilling lives.
Dr. Merritt has been educating and healing - a passion that was passed down from her late father, Charles S. Alchermes, Jr., D.C., a well-known chiropractor and professor.
Dr. Merritt offers lectures and workshops on healthy lifestyle methods. Titles such as Boosting Your Immune System, Spinal Care, Sports Injury Prevention, Healthy Ideas for a Sneaky Cook and Alternative Medicine are interesting and informative for varied groups, churches or organizations.Dr. Lisa Merritt graduated in 1980 from Life Chiropractic College and moved to Charlotte to start her business. She has been serving the greater Charlotte area since 1982 and has expanded here area of expertise to Acupuncture and Certified Traditional Naturopathy since 1997. Dr. Merritt completes 100+hours of continuing education yearly to keep abreast on new information. Even in her 32nd year of practice, Dr. Merritt loves what she does and looks forward to helping people regain and maintain their health for many years to come.
