Dr. Patterson is a 1980 Graduate of Mishawaka, IN HS and a 1985 Graduate of Bethel College. He taught in South Bend from 1987-1993. In 1993 Dr. Doug hurt his back and sought the care of a chiropractor. After several weeks & treatment he realized the benefits of chiropractic and got his whole family in as well. They too received the benefits of care. The "lights" went on in Dr. Doug's head and he knew that he wanted to be a chiropractor. So he left the teaching profession and enrolled at Life Chiropractic College, moved his wife and 4 young children to Georgia. Dr. Doug Patterson graduated in 1997 a Doctor of Chiropractic. He practiced in Georgia for 6 years before returning home to Indiana in 2003. He worked for an area chiropractor until 2007 when he then opened ProActive Health.As an integrative practice we understand the importance of focusing on the whole body. Dr. Patterson understands that although our patients may be diagnosed with the same condition, they respond very differently to treatments. For this reason, we tailor a specific plan of action to meet your needs, goals & unique medical and physical condition.
