Growing up as a boy in Wichita, Ks., Michael McIrvin received his first chiropractic adjustment for a serious and very troubling health condition at the ripe old age of seven years old. Along with an active and healthy lifestyle, these treatments aided Michael in resolving his health problems. His parents and family were great advocates of chiropractic care, receiving adjustments and various treatments themselves on a regular basis. The chiropractic lessons of good posture, good spinal health, good food and exercise paid off as he worked summers on his grandfather's dairy farm, built and raced soapbox derby cars, participating in scouting, gardening, and even playing a bit of little league football in the fall. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture(horticulture) at Kansas State University and lettering two years on the university rowing team, Dr. Michael took time out to start a family and prepare to enter chiropractic college in 1986.
