I, myself, started seeing Doctor Burks and I cannot believe how I would feel after an adjustment --so incredibly different and changed-in a positive way. This office is very well organized and runs very well. And I have recommended it to many others.
My son hit his helmet hard enough while snowboarding to create a dent (he was 12). I bought a replacement helmet. After hitting his head, he had slight headache, but most importantly was not sleeping well at night. Several months later, I realized, bringing him in to an upper cervical chiropractor, could potentially help. Sure enough, Dr. Burks was able to see a slight misalignment in his Atlas/axis. It was not large, not big -very small -however, after receiving adjustments, my son would always sleep and feel well. At first he was able to hold the adjustment for a short time, now, he can hold it for months and can usually tell when he is out of alignment as his poor sleeping returns as well as discomfort in his neck Dr. Burks gave exercises and things to do to help maintain an alignment longer which have worked very well for my son. Despite his age (he is now 15) he follows these instructions because the results help him sleep well and maintain his alignment.
17 Year old daughter had a concussion about a year and a half ago and really did not want to go see Doctor Burks. Well I finally got her to go last week and she felt so much better-- just after the first adjustment!
My mother-in-law now also goes and finds that she has fewer migraines if she keeps her Atlas/Axis in alignment.

I have (had?) been suffering balance and dizziness issues persistently for the past 7 years, ever since my last surgery for SCDS. I was had been diagnosed with PPPD (persistent perceptual postural dizziness). I have gone to the best providers for vestibular disorders in Oregon, and have received benefit from each. However, my balance and dizziness issues persisted.
I was warned against chiropractors by many providers, and I still have skepticism about other providers. Before seeing Dr Burks, my symptoms had started to degrade again to the point where I was having work challenges. After my first visit with Dr Burks, I started to have immediately relief. I have been seeing him for about once a week for 3 months, and am at least have way through my original treatment plan. At this point, my symptoms are for the most part gone, or as gone as I could expect given my surgical history.
Also, the tone and stability of my neck has never felt better.
The approach Dr Burks takes seems safe. Your head and neck are always supported, and there are not fast movements. Now..... will you have as much benefit for your vestibular systems as I have? I have no idea. Vestibular disorders are VERY complicated. Neck alignment and mobility may be but ONE aspect you need to correct.
I will happily share my experience with anyone who is interested.
And, as for costs… I found his prices reasonable.
I have paid 3x as much out of pocket for other providers in search of relief.

Dr Burks has literally saved my life. I had been suffering from vertigo for 6 years and tried everything. I finally ended up in his office and my recovery has been amazing. Found out my neck was out which was causing my dizziness. I can now drive, travel and even shop in stores. He is the absolute best and Amberley is the best as well!

Dr Burks has helped me regain a normal lifestyle. I have been dealing with Ménière's Disease and all the symptoms that come with it from vertigo, to headaches, sensitivity to sound and light for many years now, and have seen many doctors with not much improvement.
Dr Burks treatment worked tremendously for me. I am able to have full days, travel, and enjoy the healthy lifestyle that I've missed for many years.
Thank you, Dr Burks, I am forever grateful to you!

Upper Cervical Clinic, Dr. Burks, has kept me going!!! Dr. Burks is a pleasure to work with. He's always in an upbeat mood and positive. I'm almost 60 years old and received my neck injury when I was 13 years old. Everything was going fine until I woke up one morning and was so dizzy I was throwing up and could barely walk down my hallway. My primary care physician recommended Dr. Burks. I have other skeletal issues which cannot be stabilized at this point and that effects my neck. Dr. Burks continues to correct my neck and keep me going as I continue to look for solutions to my body skeletal issues. If something comes up between my appointments and I need to see Dr. Burks on an immediate/emergency basis, I can count on him to squeeze me in and keep me on my feet!! So appreciate Dr. Burks!!
