After my OTTB injured himself running in the pasture in the summer of 2023 (because apparently retirement still includes Olympic-level sprints 🙃), I called Dr. Mike — and I am so grateful I did. From the moment he arrived, his professionalism was evident. He was calm, thorough, and completely attentive to my horse. He took the time to evaluate him carefully and explain what he was seeing. His knowledge of equine physiology is truly impressive — not just textbook knowledge, but practical, experienced understanding of how a horse’s body compensates and moves. What stood out most was his ability to educate while he adjusted. He explained what he was doing, why he was doing it, and how it would help restore proper alignment and mobility. Mike came out to work on a horse for an owner at my barn. I didn’t have an appointment with him, but he graciously took the time to check my horse. I was surprised when he said my horse felt fine to him. I wouldn’t have known the difference if he had said he needed adjusted and charged me for it. He’s definitely an honest guy with integrity!
