Dr. Ivette P

I just finished my 10 series with Ivette and although I had a feeling it would help my back pain, I was not expecting to feel as good as I have the last month and a half. My lower back pain was consistently between 5-8 out of 10 since 2020 and although I feel moments of discomfort, it usually goes away when I implement the practical tools Ivette shared with me, like how to align my spine and legs when I’m sitting or standing or how to place my feet when I walk. Throughout the 10 series I’d feel much better the days after a session and generally within a few days my usual pain would come back. She explained that my body was still adjusting and that it would continue to adjust several months after our 10 series because the fascia she worked on was no longer restricting the proper alignment of my feet, legs, arms, and spine. I loved going through the series because instead of just putting a bandaid on the problem like massaging my lower back pain, I could sense how she was strategically working to free up space for my body to stack properly and create alignment and flow within my body. The big test came the week after our 10th session when I flew economy to Thailand. Even after the multiple 13 or 11 hr flights, my back pain did not return. It’s been an incredible relief to wake up and not have the stiffness or aches that I had for 5 years. During a few sessions she had me work with her by very slowly moving my body so that I could become more sensitive to the energetic flow of my own body. As she was Rolfing me she would sometimes guide me to move so that I could feel the difference between moving and lengthening versus moving and restricting or collapsing. This has been really helpful in maintaining the work that she’s done and in feeling more mindful throughout the day. I appreciate that Ivette is much more than a Rolfer. She can clearly sense and work with the energy of the body in a very gifted way. She seems to do much more than put pressure on the fascia. Im grateful for the space she created for my lower back and for the flow she’s brought into my life. It feels great not to be bogged down by back pain anymore and to also have a better understanding of how to maintain the work she’s done. So deeply grateful!!

I had a broken arm from a freak football injury that had me completely paralyzed from my elbow down to my fingers in my dominant arm back in 2011. The doctors told me it was 50/50 that I could very well be paralyzed for the rest of my life. I tried physical therapy for months and had zero success. It was the biggest miracle I have ever experienced in my life. Not only did it give me a new faith in life that I never knew existed, it changed me at the core of my being. It led me down a path of healing & spirituality, made me a better human being, and completely changed my attitude towards life for the better......There are no words that can describe how grateful I am to have been lucky enough to meet Ivette. She's my favorite person in the world. I cannot imagine what my life would have become if I did not randomly move in next door to her in my darkest hour. Thank you so much Ivette, you are thee best! You literally saved my life. Anyone on the fence about whether or not rolfing is legit, I am living proof! It is the real deal

She really knows her stuff. I did the 10 sessions and with each session, I could see the difference in my body and posture. She does not only work on your body but she also explains what she is doing and gives you tips and exercises to do at home. I am an acupuncture physician, i work with the body as well and i can tell when someone knows what is doing. Lots of years playing sports, lots of injuries and Ivette definitely helped me overcome my pains and aches. 100% recommended.

For the last year, every time I sneezed, I felt like something was about to snap in my lower back and I always had to brace myself so I wouldn’t fall to the floor. I just sneezed and felt no pain in my back! Although I was slightly scared of how painful Rolfing would be, Yvette was great at making my fear dissipate right away. The moment she started to work on my body, it was constant relief that gave me chills multiple times. I started to feel spacious, not just in the section she was working on, but throughout the body. I felt relief in my back as she moved the fascia around my legs and feet, and especially appreciated the work she did to get my pelvic floor back into alignment.
