Devin Pfister obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University in 2004 and went on to work for Physiotherapy Associates as both Clinic Director and staff therapist. In 2007, she began working as an independent practitioner and founded Pfister Physical Therapy Inc., which operates in the heart of Pacific Heights. The goal of this boutique style operation is to provide individualized, one-on-one care that is necessary to reduce or eliminate pain and improve function. "From my perspective, the body is a complex system of parts. Each part is capable of disrupting the efficiency and functional capabilities of the whole. Proper exercise and movement necessitate compliance from the muscles, joints, and nerves. Manual therapy is essential to facilitate this compliance. I'm a mechanic and I love it." ~Devin Pfister, PT, DPTI founded this business with the intent to provide the kind of caring environment that I was trained to create for my clients. Working as an independent practitioner has given me the opportunity to treat my patient's as I would wish to be treated. In creating my own business model, I applied the "golden rule" and immediately thought about my own needs as a customer. I would want to work with one person, spend as much time as necessary with that person to accomplish my goals, and receive an education during that time spent to achieve independence in managing my pain.
