About

Dr. Fernandez received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Columbia Institute of Chiropractic, now the New York College of Chiropractic, and his Masters in Science in Administrative Medicine and Public Health from Columbia University. Dr. Fernandez also graduated from Long Island University's program in Nursing Home administration and is licensed as a nursing home administrator. Finally, he was selected by the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation to represent the municipal hospital system at Harvard School of Public Health's Health Systems Management Program, from which he graduated.Integrative Medicine is a new concept in healthcare offering traditional mainstream medical services alongside alternative or complementary therapies. It promotes health and wellness in contrast to the current "Disease Model". Its focus is not on acute or emergency care but rather on a Holistic approach which takes into consideration the MIND, BODY and SPIRIT. The complementary therapies used in conjunction with conventional medical services are those that have proven to be effective, safe and appropriate for a patient's condition and health status. They comprise some of the following: Holistic Medicine, Nurse Practitioner Services, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, NAET Allergy Elimination, Nutrition, Weight Loss, Physical Therapy, Life Coaching, Therapeutic Massage, Reiki and Yoga, to name a few.
