I’m a firefighter who has been dinged up over my career. I went in after a surgeon had said double disc replacement. After one visit the tingle in my left arm, which was due to misalignment was 90% gone. He also has great bedside manner and listens to your concerns. Thank you, Dr. Gates.

I highly recommend Dr Chris Gates! My daughter brought me for a Nucca appointment and I really didn't know anything about it, nor did I know how it might help me. I truly had no expectations. I was 3 months out from a meniscus repair surgery so still hobbling on one crutch. I have had chronic lower back tightness for many years now and so part of my morning routine is to wake up and do the back roller. Nothing terrible, just nagged at me everyday and throughout the day I would press my thumbs on my lower back to release pressure. The adjustment process was very in-depth with x-rays and Chris showed me how my head was tilted to one side and that was probably putting pressure on the right side of my body and may have been part of the cause for my meniscus tear. Anyway when I left the office, I had no more lower back tightness and I just felt a bit taller and that sitting up straight was effortless. About 3 days later I noticed inside my home that I wasn't limping anymore. I started just keeping my crutch in the car, and stopped using it. That was about 3 weeks ago and for the past 10 days I have been walking outside in my neighborhood twice a day. I am walking up to 4 mi a day now and it feels amazing! It's actually been 6 months since I've been able to walk for pleasure. Walking was something I did every single day so I am very very grateful for the spontaneous healing that has occurred for me! The lower back pain / pressure has not returned I am excited to come back when it's time for x-rays to see the changes in my body! Looking forward to continued healing! I am recommending nucca to everyone I know! Thank you Chris! 🙏

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Christopher Gates at Atlas Head and Spine! My husband, who suffered from chronic back pain for four years, experienced a miraculous adjustment that completely changed his quality of life. He insisted everyone should see Dr. Gates, even if they think they don’t need it—and that was me. I figured the “gritty” feeling in my hips after sitting for just 10 minutes was just aging, and the constant tension in my shoulders and back, which shocked my massage therapist, was just where I carried stress. Boy, was I wrong! Dr. Gates discovered my spine was out of alignment, with one side of my body carrying five pounds more weight—a lot for someone barely over 5 feet! His adjustment was so gentle, barely touching my neck, and after resting in his zero-gravity chairs (where I dozed off for a few minutes), I felt an instant wave of relaxation. It was like magic! I couldn’t believe such a small adjustment could have such a massive impact. Since that day, I’ve had no hip pain, no matter how long I sit, my shoulders and back feel looser than ever, and I’m sleeping through the night without waking up once—a first in years! My husband was right: everyone needs to see Dr. Gates, even if you think you’re fine. His expertise and care transformed my body and quality of life in ways I never expected. I’m beyond grateful and highly recommend Dr. Gates at Atlas Head and Spine!

Didn't work for me on several fronts. I have confirmed case of upper cervical instability I'm working with another upper cervical atlas orthogonal provider and am finally over the hump and getting relief. In hindsight when thinking about my experience at Atlas Head and Spine, within a few days of treatment I know I was falling out of alignment. I say I know b/c I've learned a ton about the subject and how to read my symptoms when I'm in need of care. I will say that their method definitely aligned my neck the first few days, it just never lasted. I would call and report that my symptoms returned, their response was always I needed more time to heal come back in a few weeks. This is the NUCCA methodology and I'm sure it works for some people, but it didn't help me. While I had many symptoms during this period, one of the worst was cognitive/brain fog/memory issues that Atlas Brain and Spine confirmed could be symptoms of my condition. My symptoms were impacting me at work significantly. I'm a consultant, my brain is my primary tool, it wasn't working! (so much so that I've waited to write this review for some time b/c I couldn't have composed this while in their care and having these symptoms) When I was working through my short-term disability claim at work, Atlas Head and Spine refused to write me a note indicating that my cervical instability symptoms were preventing me from fully performing my duties. This was a huge red flag to me, it told me they don't truly believe in what they were selling. Overall, they're very nice, office is very fancy, they're very communicative and flexible, but I wouldn't go back.

Atlas is such a wonderful experience. The facility is beautiful and has a peaceful environment. Everyone who works here is great. Neghin who helps with booking and the front desk is always so kind when we come in! We love seeing her. We see Dr. Cortes, he is very insightful and patient - he takes time to learn your history and how to help your specific need(s). This is not a quick fix or bandaid solution, this holistic process helps heal your body step by step for long lasting results. My husband injured his back 10+ years ago while weightlifting, and after seeing Dr. Cortes to work on his alignment he has finally has relief from his pain! I see Dr. Cortes for lower back issues, which I have found stem from endometriosis. Cortes has helped my pain become much more manageable, and we are still working together to figure out next steps and more I can do to help my body heal and inflammation reduce. I’ve never met a doctor this intuitive, who values patient care this much. Thank you Dr. Cortes!
