ALTA Health + Performance was created out of Dr. Alexandra Andersson's vision for a place that was more than just another doctor's office. While still in school, Alexandra became obsessed with truly understanding human movement - and the need for more than simply passive therapies (including soft tissue and adjustments) to fix active problems. The patient's role in [actively] re-creating their own health and well-being is absolutely crucial. After graduating chiropractic school, Dr. Andersson worked at the Apple Wellness Center at their HQ in Cupertino and a renowned private sports rehab clinic in Silicon Valley. Both these clinics provided exceptional mentorship allowing her to hone her skill set. She is proud to offer a clinic that offers something San Luis Obispo did not have previously - a Non-Traditional Chiropractic office specializing in truly optimizing human movement.
