About

Willem graduated in 1992 with a bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from the Haagse Academie voor Fysiotherapie in his native Netherlands. Served as a Physical Therapist in the Royal Dutch Army and worked in several private practices in the Netherlands. Willem is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) in the Maitland Australian concept. He received his doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2011. After working at a local hospital for 10 years he founded WV Physical Therapy. Willem is proud to have assembled an incredible group of highly talented, dedicated therapists and office staff who deliver excellent care and make you feel like family. When not working on or in the practice you may find him running the roads and trails of Barrington, in the mountains, or on the beach with his favorite exercise partners - his wife, daughter, and dog Daisy.WV Physical Therapy started in a tiny space in 2004 with a clear mission - Helping the people in the greater Rochester area move better than they thought possible with less pain/dizziness/discomfort while experiencing a level of care and customer service that far exceeds their expectations. We have outgrown 2 offices and in May 2021 WV Physical Therapy relocated to a comfortable, spacious, bright new location with easy access and parking. The new location is in Spaulding Commons on 306 N. Main Street in Rochester, NH. Our neighbors include Planet Fitness, H&R Block, Townfair Tire, Gel Pro Nails, and Suntan City.
