Dr. Allen Harrison

I was skeptical about the type of chiropractic care Dr. Allen offers. Still, after suffering a particularly evil, BAD migraine back last month and daily headaches since childhood, I was desperate to try anything that would work. I did an internet search and discovered repeatedly that this particular type of chiropractic treatment has a reputation for being very effective for headaches. NUCCA did NOT disappoint! After my first adjustment, I had a headache twice in 7 days (remember, I have had daily headaches since childhood). This was such a relief. After my second adjustment, my regular lower back, hip, and knee pain was gone, and my headaches stayed away. Now, after my third adjustment, I am still free of pain in my lower back, hip, and knee, and I haven't had a headache since I last saw him... what's more, my monthly migraine hasn't arrived. All this time, I thought my headaches were sinus-related, or maybe water or mineral-related, or now that I am older hormone, hormone-related. It turns out it was just that my cervical spine was wonky. Yes, it was expensive. Yes, it sounds like a weird type of chiropractic care, but it WORKS! And Dr. Allen's office is inviting, comfortable, and clean. Dr. Allen himself is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and easygoing professional. There is no bone cracking or strange tools he uses to adjust you, just a very subtle, short massage-like thing he does. It's magic, and Dr. Allen is a wizard.

I have been injured in a personal injury accident that left me with a concussion and tremendous physical and emotional pain in my head, neck, and back. It is so rare to feel cared for, listened to and empathized with, understood AND being provided remarkable treatment all at the same time in a doctor's office, and you will definitely find it here. Dr. Harrison is empathetic, listens and explains about the pain I am experiencing, is very attentive and detail oriented, always willing to help, responsive, and courteous to remind of each appointment and provide advice where required. The chiropractic treatment itself is non-invasive, very gentle, and super effective - I felt a difference and relief with each appointment. The required tests and x-rays are in-house, and Dr. Harrison is simply super skilled at his work and loves what he is doing, as it's apparent in how he treats his patients and truly invests in their recovery. Wellbeing is priceless and getting it back even more so! If you are injured or looking for preventative holistic care, you deserve the kind of care that Dr. Harrison provides and I can say with complete confidence that you would be in the best hands at The Balanced Atlas! I would also like to add, that every time my symptoms got worse or the pain of the injury became unexplainable or escalated, Dr. Harrison was always there to actually help resolve the situation and help the pain go down. No other doctor actually helped bring the pain down or was responsive and there when I actually needed it, and in fact even when my symptoms got so bad that I had to go to emergency room again or urgent care, it was Dr. Harrison who knew what to do, explained what was going on, suggested plan of action, and the chiropractic treatments helped relieve and resolve the situations. It's a holistic approach to health and healing that takes into consideration many tricky factors that other approaches may miss and I am beyond grateful and can't recommend The Balanced Atlas enough!
