TOA is the best for every body. In 1924, our founder, Dr. George Carpenter, Sr., opened the first orthopaedic practice in Nashville. Today, Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is the largest and most respected orthopaedic surgery group in Middle Tennessee. TOA is also one of the largest orthopedic groups in the nation. TOA physicians provide surgical and nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in comprehensive orthopaedics, inclusive of trauma and fractures, arthritic total joint replacement, and workers' compensation injuries. TOA has always been driven by the desire to find new ways to ensure the highest level of conscientious, quality patient care.
