About
Scott is the co-founder of Sports Medicine & Training Center in Crestwood, MO. Scott received his physical therapy training from the University of Missouri, graduating in 1985. Scott continued his education at the University of Champaign-Urbana, and in 1987 received both a BS in Athletic Training and an MS in Sports Medicine. Scott has broad experience in general orthopedics and sports medicine and has worked extensively with high school, collegiate, professional, and elite athletes. He was privileged to travel to the 1995 World Track and Field Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta as part of the medical team caring for USA track and field athletes including Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Gail Devers and Kenny Harrison. Scott is also known for his work with performing artists of all types and has treated members of Modern American Dance Company, Leverage Dance Theater, Webster University, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and touring companies at the Fox Theater. On August 19, 2002 owners Scott and Robbie Van Nest first opened the doors of the Sports Medicine & Training Center in Webster Groves. In 2012, we outgrew our Webster location and moved our facility to Crestwood. We are happy to continue providing quality physical therapy and training services to the St. Louis community as a small, family owned business!
