I like My Doctor lol she was very nice. Helpful took her time to listen to me and my issues with my knee and I’m feeling so much better now she found the right place for me to go for therapy and I’m very grateful for all her help.

I have been experiencing pain in my left knee for several years. I have been lifting weights daily for the past 40 years including heavy squats and deadlifts. I also road bike intensely 5-6 times/week. My bike power meter clearly showed reduced power in the left knee. There was also progressive pain in my left knee while squatting. 2 years ago I transitioned to Medicare. I selected traditional Medicare and purchased Supplement G (most expensive and flexible, like a PPO) specifically so I could choose specialists without referral. My existing orthopedic surgeons were with Palo Alto Med Foundation (PAMF). I saw 2 different PAMF orthopedic surgeons about my knee after the Medicare transition. They showed little interest in diagnosing. 1 ordered X-rays with no follow-up. They were significantly more responsive before I transitioned to Medicare. I thus researched orthopedic surgeons and contacted Dr. Hariri based on the excellent Yelp and Google reviews. She has an independent medical practice. She is absolutely outstanding, an 11 on a 10 scale. Insurance is always the first order of business. Her medical practice whole heartedly embraces Medicare particularly Plan G patients. Everything about my experience with Dr. Hariri and her team was first rate, +3.0 standard deviations. They quickly set up an initial exam preceded by X-rays to eliminate obvious issues. Dr. Hariri thoroughly examined my knee during the first exam, found no obvious issues in the X-rays or direct observation. She then scheduled an MRI. She immediately found the source of the issue: Patellofemoral Arthritis with some meniscus damage. Fortunately, this was discovered before further trochlear groove or patella cartilage wear necessitating replacement. Per her guidance, I have modified my lifting to reduce knee stress. She also injected Hyaluronan in the knee which greatly reduced pain. Hyaluronan has also previously reduced shoulder pain due to cartilage wear. If you have knee or shoulder issues then Dr. Hariri is the go to orthopedic surgeon in the bay area.
