I'm a women's health physical therapist & board certified as a women's clinical specialist. Originally from Wisconsin, I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from UW Madison & then received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Long Island University and went on to specialize as a Women's Clinical Specialist (WCS). I am passionate about pre/postnatal care & believe physical therapy services during pregnancy & after delivery should be standard of care in the US. I am devoted to promoting awareness, well being, & healing of my patients with a goal of empowering women during the prenatal & postnatal periods to address any discomforts or concerns with regards to their bodies. I love teaching women simple ways to take care of themselves while their bodies are changing during pregnancy & enjoy helping women heal & get their bodies back after their journey through pregnancy & childbirth.I created this home-based women's health physical therapy service after meeting hundreds of women at my free "Postnatal Rejuvenation" classes around Orange County. I have been approached after each class by new moms & pregnant women that asked if I could see them in their homes, so now I can! During pregnancy it may be difficult to get to appointments, especially if you have pain, & if you have children already, you probably know how difficult it is to leave the home in a timely manner, especially if you have a set appointment time scheduled for a doctor's visit. It's also more difficult to bring children with you to appointments, so through this service moms won't have to leave their home or babies, & it allows children to stay in their familiar home environment while I work with mom. Another benefit of having physical therapy at home is that I can evaluate your functioning in your daily environment to assess how you lift & move your baby in & out of the crib, stroller, bathtub, etc
