MJ is the kindest, gentlest, and yet most effective healer I had worked with for my ankle ganglion and digestive issues—better than any doctor (3 total with Kaiser), physical therapist (3 total with Kaiser and private practitioners), chiropractor (private), or pharmaceutical intervention. I had a ganglion in my right foot for 8 months, after I had sprained it, due to lack of health insurance and delays with my care. I lived with a weird sensation like I was wearing a pad on my right foot for months. The weird nervous shooting pain would sometimes radiate into my toes. An MRI showed a ganglion about 2cm wide. The orthopedist recommended to surgery. But I only had 50% chance of the ganglion not returning. (Isn’t that just placebo?) It was going to cost me $9,000 WITH insurance. What the heck. In the 6 month waiting period for surgery, I just decided to try every other non-invasive treatment possible. I had never tried acupuncture before, because I was afraid of needles. I have a lot of physical sensitivities and skin issues due to feeling intruded-upon. Unlike acupuncture, his use of constitutional medicine (different, I learned!) is much fewer needles, it seemed. His manner is gentle, kind, and intuitive. He is also funny if you get to know him! After the 3rd session, I felt a noticeable movement of some kind of ball in my ankle where the ganglion must have been. There’s no way to tell exactly when the ganglion disappeared. But, at the next MRI at 3 months, the ganglion was gone. The nerve sensation would go in and out for a few months, because of the way that my ankle probably routed all things around the ganglion. But eventually the sensations disappeared. MJ saved me $9000, 4 weeks of recovery, pain of surgery, and tolerating a ridiculous 50% success rate. A secondary thing that he helped me with was digestive issues! I don’t know how this happened, but I once told him that I have had bloating and gas since I was a child. In his mysterious way, within a few sessions, my gas drastically reduced for months. I highly, highly recommend MJ if you need any help related to cyst, nerve issues, inflammation, or interstitial fluid and flow of any kind. I feel humbled to know him. THANK YOU, MJ!
