About

I received my initial certification from The McKinnon Institute in 2000, with continuing education courses at The San Francisco School of Massage. Was invited by Art Riggs to a year long Deep Tissue seminar and studied Structural Integration Techniques with Marty Morales, both are certified advanced Rolfers. Although I am not a Rolfer, I am trained as a manual structural therapist, working with unwinding fascia and creating balance within the body. In addition to my private practice, I have worked at Golden Gateway Tennis & Swim Club, The Mindful Body, and partnered with several chiropractors in San Francisco. Education and training
A Listening Hands Massage is an effective, experienced, skilled and sensitive therapeutic massage. I specialize in Deep Tissue and Swedish massage, with an emphasis on correcting dysfunction and reintegrating the body, bringing relief from pain, connection to oneself, and a sense of relaxation and ease. I have been in practice since 2000, and have trained with top teachers in the field. Having worked with athletes, dancers, musicians, IT workers, moms, doctors, nurses, pregnant women, cancer and MS patients, I have much experience addressing both acute and chronic injuries, repetitive strains, chronic pain, pre-natal discomfort and stress. Having a dance and Pilates background myself, I utilize my knowledge of the body to take in the whole person:physically, emotionally and spiritually. I hope to encourage and educate my clients in ways they can change the physical patterns that cause their dysfunction.
