Billy Cioffredi grew up in Rutland, Vermont, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1979, where he received a degree in physical therapy and lettered in varsity football. He began his early career at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and while there he designed a senior position to specialize in the delivery of orthopedic physical therapy. There he also met his wife, Ruth Curtis, an occupational therapist specializing in hand rehabilitation. In 1985 Billy and Ruth married and established Cioffredi Physical Therapy, then with a team of three (including Billy and Ruth!). Today Cioffredi & Associates | The Institute for Health & Human Performance employs a team of more than 20 skilled and dedicated staff members, committed to providing people with the expertise, support, and inspiration to live happier and healthier lives.Bill Cioffredi grew up in Rutland, VT and graduated from the U. of Penn in 1979 with a degree in Physical Therapy. He began his career at DHMC where he designed a senior PT position to specialize in the treatment of orthopedic conditions. He also met Ruth Curtis, an Occupational Therapist. Ruth is an early member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, and was involved in the development of the first multidisciplinary Orthopaedic Hand Clinic at DHMC. In 1985 Bill and Ruth married, and established the Cioffredi Orthopaedic & Sports Therapy Center. Originally, Bill was the sole provider, but as his case load grew, he brought on additional staff to meet demand; and so we became Cioffredi & Associates. For the first 28 years our focus was on the delivery of excellent PT and OT services. Today, we have a team of 25+ dedicated staff to help our clients achieve their goals with a variety of different services.
