About
Hi, this is Craig D Faucher of CDF Bodywork. The company as it stands today employs several great therapists, but here's my bio: I left an earlier career as a business journalist to have a more meaningful connection with people after eight years of over-the-phone interviews and CEO book reviews. Now with a business of my own I love the feeling of ownership behind every decision and those years of writing came in handy. The massage training really spawned an interest in human anatomy that I didn't know was there. I was fascinated the way everything was made to work together and what happened when it didn't. Nothing clears the head better than a general deep tissue or Swedish massage and I still love doing them, but evaluating a specific problem and then creating a treatment plan is what gets me into work and continuing to research. Other background...I grew up in Maine, studied Poly Sci in PA, and fish whenever possible.Founder Craig Faucher began offering massage therapy in 2003 upon graduation from the Muscular Therapy Institute, now Cortiva, in Watertown. Craig continued to study Orthopedic or Clinical massage techniques while building his practice and combined these studies with direction from chiropractors, doctors, and physical therapists. He adopted the name CDF Therapeutic Bodywork in 2006 to reflect the clinical direction of his work, and has since added other therapists to round out services from Swedish Massage to Reflexology. "CDF Therapeutic Bodywork" and "Craig Faucher Massage Therapy" are still used interchangeably. Up to four therapists are on staff depending on the day, but Craig continues to make all the bookings and perform the injury assessments. In May 2009 CDF Bodywork/Craig Faucher left the "Bodyworkers of Boston" collective on Tremont Street to join with Nicole Ricci and "Saldare Body Therapy" at a new location on Clarendon Street.
