Pre-Pointe Assessment: A 50-minute individualized assessment based on dancer age and presentation to determine readiness for pointe. Megan utilizes screening methods recommended by IADMS (International Association of Dance Medicine and Science) and Lisa Howell, creator of the ‘Perfect Pointe Screening System’ for young dancers. Each assessment includes evaluation of the dancer's posture, functional movement, technique, core strength, balance and other factors that may affect dancer safety when rising en pointe. Dance/Sport Conditioning: A 50-minute session geared toward dancer and athlete goals with a focus on pilates and sport- based strengthening. This session will include a warm up, strength training exercises, and a cool down aimed at improving flexibility, strength, endurance, agility, power, and balance. Each session is completely custom with the athlete's individual goals in mind. Dancer Screen: A 30-minute one on one session where Megan will perform a variety of tests that include assessment of range of motion, flexibility, strength, balance, movement patterns, dance- specific positioning and skills in order to evaluate potential problems or injury risks the dancer may demonstrate. Telehealth: Evaluations and follow-up sessions can be provided virtually for residents of both California and Massachusetts as Megan holds licensure in both states.
