About

After graduating from ODU in 2000, Christian traveled the state working in pediatrics, industrial rehab, orthopedics/neurological rehab, home health, and ergonomics. In 2006 with the love and support of his family and a final coaxing by his wife Darby, he dove into starting Synergy PT. Synergy PT has allowed Christian to share his love for PT and the science of lifting through creating sensible, yet aggressive rehab and excercise programs. He loves spending down time traveling to the Northern Neck listening to "old time radio" programs in the car or at home with his family watching cartoons.Synergy PT & Athletic Performance, LLC is a privately owned PT clinic founded in 2006 by local PG graduate Christian Wheeler. After years of travel and mentorships, Synergy PT was founded out of the desire to create an environment unlike any other clinic its staff had worked in or managed.

Education and training
Synergy PT is a different type of PT clinic. We focus on one-on-one goal-oriented workouts that vary in length and intensity, helping you either improve your athletic performance, or assist you on the road to recovery. At Synergy, we provide treatment for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions due to trauma, physical conditions, stress and sports injuries. Industrial Rehabilitation includes help with Initial injuries, Work Hardening, and Work Conditioning. Our personal trainers offer a variety of affordable plans and packages that can fit any budget. We understand the time you have to recover from an injury is limited which is why we offer individualized treatment sessions and programs that are used to give our clients more for their money. You can also choose us for Pre-Employment Musculoskeletal Screening to help determine if a prospective new hire has any conditions or musculoskeletal limitations that could pre-dispose them to injury. Whether you are a company with a workers compensation case or an individual with private insurance, we use the latest technology, research, and dynamic therapeutic techniques with one thing in mind. While physical therapy was the root of its birth, personal wellness and holistic growth has become its reality. Many of our PT clients continue with our wellness program and learn to transition progress from therapy into fitness and personal gains that change their lives.
