At chiropractic school, Chris was satisfied with the normal education. First, he learned about the wellness lifestyle. Putting it into use in his own life, he learned how to exercise properly, eat properly, and think properly. Wouldn't you know it, he started to get healthy. His acne, gastrointestinal discomfort, back pain, and depression all started to get better. Then, he learned about Active Release Technique (A.R.T.). A.R.T. showed him that he could get results with patients immediately instead of waiting for weeks to get patients better. Finally, he combined all of these modalities into the Crossfit philosophy, which stresses function and performance over weight loss and the typical body building mentality. In this way, Chris hopes that BRC becomes known as the place to go for those in chronic pain.Barefoot Rehabilitation Clinic (BRC) was started out of necessity. Typical chiropractic practices treat pain conditions passively, with modalities that only reduce symptoms without treating the cause of the problem and without a holistic approach towards the person. Traditionally, no matter what the problem, everyone gets adjusted. At the BRC, we aren't traditional. A functional exam, history, and lifestyle evaluation allow Dr. Stepien to tailor a unique treatment plan to your needs. Combining manual therapy, strength exercises, and lifestyle advice, the cause of the problem is addressed. Patients can expect results in as little as one visit, with the average number of visits for any condition being 10 visits. With a practice model that values clinical excellence, patients should expect value for their efforts spent.

At Barefoot Rehabilitation Clinic, we have the unique background of combining a chiropractic education with fitness expertise.
