Communication Channels
Medximity provides secure, documented communication between attorneys and providers:
- Secure messaging — Text-based communication with file attachment support.
- Record requests — Formal, tracked requests for medical documentation.
- IME scheduling — Coordination for independent examinations.
Best Practices
- Be specific — Clearly state what you need, relevant dates, and deadlines.
- Attach authorizations upfront — Include the signed HIPAA release with your first message.
- Respect response times — Providers are treating patients during business hours. Allow 2–3 business days for non-urgent responses.
- Keep it professional — All communications are logged and may be discoverable.
Documentation
All messages sent through Medximity are timestamped, stored, and available in your communication history. This creates a verifiable record of all attorney-provider interactions — useful for demonstrating diligence and proper procedure.
Limitations
Medximity messaging is not a substitute for formal legal process. Subpoenas, depositions, and court orders must still be served through proper legal channels. See our Terms and Conditions for platform use requirements.
