Hi, I’m Tina Marie and I am your end-of-life doula. I have a B.A. in Ancient and Classical History and studied Healthcare Administration for three years at American Military University with the goal of being a Hospice Administrator. All of this changed when my biological mother suddenly passed away and I saw the very real need for end-of-life doulas or palliative care professionals. I have a long background in healthcare starting my career in 1998 in the Women’s Center at Wellstar Kennestone hospital. After leaving Kennestone I went to work in private practice providing assistance in the areas of orthopedics and physical therapy and, most recently, psychiatry. Recently my brother followed by my grandmother passed away and I knew it was time to follow my calling into end-of-life support. I have completed an end-of-life webinar by Care Doula School of Accompanying the Dying and will continuously seek out ways to further my knowledge of doula work as it pertains to end-of-life care.

Serving all of metro Atlanta - free virtual estimates, payment plans, locally family ownership How we can help Here are just a few ways in which we can provide the support you need: Emotional support – offering a listening ear to the person who is dying and their loved ones, offering non-judgmental support through difficult times. Decision-making – aiding with advance care planning and abiding by the dying person’s wishes. Coordinating – respite care and vigil planning. Rituals – ensuring that cultural and religious observances are followed. Practical assistance – tasks like dog walking and shopping so that loved ones can spend more time with the dying person. Bereavement – education and resources to loved ones who are grieving. Timing When we can help: We can work with families from the time of diagnosis through bereavement. We can be especially helpful during high need situations, such as when the person is dying or in their final hours.
