I have been married nearly 30 years and am the father of five young adults. Before my career in massage therapy, I spent years in auto parts sales, construction, car & truck suspension service, and production management where I gained good public relations skills. After losing my production management job in 1998 at age 43 I asked myself not "what do I HAVE to do?" but " what do I WANT to do?" I truly believe that being laid off was one of the BEST things that ever happened to me as it led me into massage therapy which I have been enjoying ever since!After losing my job in 1998 I suffered a back injury that led me to my twin brother, Alan, who is a chiropractor in Glendale, CA. Not only did he do chiropractic, he had also developed an effective method of bodywork therapy that he employed in my corrective care. I became convinced that not only did this technique have potential, but I had a desire to develop it and use it to treat others, helping them as I was helped. From the first client I worked on I found my modified version of his technique, which I tailored towards massage, to be an excellent tool to address and relieve the pain and stress caused by the Chronic Tension Cycle. My first client said that "you did more for me in one hour than all the treatments I have received in the last six months!" This is not an uncommon phrase that I hear from new clients as they know something is different about this kind of therapy. If you've tried "everything else", even massage therapy, that is my favorite place to begin!
