I had shoulder/neck pain for almost 2 weeks, and it got to the point where it was difficult to move. I made a last minute appointment with Karen for an adjustment and she was a godsend. I really appreciated how she told me about what my insurance would/wouldn't cover up front so there were no surprises. She is a fantastic listener and was super nice yet down-to-earth and straightforward. Karen got straight to the pain points, and you know I love effectiveness and efficiency. I didn't do a full assessment for this session, but that quick adjustment and satisfying back and neck cracks brought so much relief. I was able to bend backwards a bit and turn my head after she tried to relax the pressure between my shoulder and my ribs. I would highly recommend her and would go back again.

I find Karen to be a very intuitive and skilled healer. I’ve never had a chiropractor talk to me as thoroughly about my mechanical issue as she did - just in our first session. It was amazing and impressive. I was traveling from Los Angeles and had a severe headache for a few days and needed a neck adjustment. It was NYE and thankfully Karen had availability when no one else did. I told her I don’t do well with neck adjustments and she understood and assessed why and simply said she will do something more gentle. I wish i had her in LA : ).

I normally don’t go to people that don’t come with a recommendation but I felt like I couldn’t delay getting an adjustment. I called and immediately received a text message with information re pricing, location and what to expect. Dr. Shiu is the most thorough person I have encountered in chiropractic care. She spent an entire hour working on the muscles related to the impacted areas and very easily adjusted me without causing anxiety. She puts so much care into what she does and is so friendly. Dr. Shiu is a gem and I will say that she is worth every single penny. She gave me some assignments to help me in the long term and she was never pushy about having to return. She said that when I feel ready I can let her know. I’m really grateful for the level of concern during my service and I recommend her if you want someone that is very thorough.

I came to Karen originally as part of my overall rehab for my shoulder’s surgery many years ago. Since then I see her for general maintenance since I have sporadic joint issues as a typical gym goer would. She is insightful and holistic, recently I also received some cupping therapy from her. Highly recommended!
