Dr. Kristine Tohtz graduated magna cum laude from the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in April 2001. In August 2009, she received a Diplomate in Acupuncture from the American Chiropractic Association's Council of Chiropractic Acupuncture (CCA). After attending two supervised internships in Beijing and Hangzhou, China, Dr. Tohtz is pursuing her Master's of Science in Acupuncture (MsAc) through the NUHS. In April 2009, she completed an advanced certification in Pregnancy and Pediatric care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. As a certified post partum doula, a certified yoga instructor through the Temple of Kriya Yoga and a certified Hypnotherpist, she teaches continuing education on the topics of pregnancy, pediatric care, and acupuncture to various physicians as well as groups like Shine Chicago & Sharp Mamas. The combinations of these arts are fused to create individualized treatments for each patient allowing them to achieve optimal health.After practicing solo for 3 years and having a business partner for 10 years at Serenity Health & Wellness, Dr Tohtz decided to practice again as a solo practitioner founding Serenity Family Wellness. As her focus for both treatment and mostly prevention widened, she has assembled the best team she could for both treatment and prevention of many common ailments.
