Education: Derek attended undergraduate and graduate school at California State University of Long Beach where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and his Masters of Physical Therapy. Derek is founder and owner of RTA Physical Therapy. Interests and Activites: He enjoys running marathons, playing soccer and spending weekends with his wife and two daughters. Favorite Patients: Derek loves working with Geriatric patients and patients with Total Joint Replacements, as well as runners, and soccer players.Restorative Therapy Associates (RTA) was started to serve the Irvine community and surrounding cities for all their physical therapy needs. We have a variety of therapists whose specialties including post surgical, geriatric, neurologic sports medicine, and workers comp. We even have occupational therapy here to meet all the needs of our patients. Your care will be completed by a physical therapist or occupational therapist, not by an aide, to ensure each patient gets the upmost care that they deserve. We believe that completing your course of therapy with a therapist leads to quicker, better, and long lasting results. We have relationships with Chapman and CSU Long Beach for higher institutional learning. We help teach classes for the next generation of therapists at Chapman University.
