As a pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapist, Jen uniquely and effectively unites these areas, providing expertise consulting and community outreach to understand how to care for the whole patient- not just their symptoms. Jen prides herself in working collectively with your team of healthcare providers, birth professionals, and personal trainers to assist you in a full and long-lasting recovery for your clients.Working as an orthopedic physical therapist, in particular when working with women who had had children; regardless if they came to me for knee/back/shoulder etc. pain, I always had to start with their deep core. It wasn't until I was pregnant myself, I realized the lack of- and inaccurate- information regarding changes the body undergoes during pregnancy and postpartum periods. For instance, the message women are sent that leaking and pelvic pain are "normal" and "will go away with time" couldn't be further from the truth. Fueled with a passion, this led to a mission and calling to change the care for prenatal and postpartum women; Rehab Fitness & Wellness was born. My physical therapy practice is based on the premise that patients deserve to be heard and re-connected to their bodies. Our birth experiences, stories, and journeys make us who we our - they are literally the emotional and physical roots of our body.
