I have suffered from migraines for nearly 30 years and have tried everything: massage, chiropractors, injections, medication, and endless stretching. While I always knew the source of my pain was my neck, no one was able to address the root issue until I found Novera. During my very first treatment, they were able to pull me out of a migraine that otherwise would have lasted for weeks. Their knowledge is incredible, but what really sets them apart is their ability to tailor the treatment to the individual. It’s not a one size fits all approach; they truly listen and adapt. This has been a life changing experience for me, and I cannot recommend them enough.

After suffering from near constant migraines over the course of about a year, I found Novera headache center and decided to give it a try. I had already tried medications, traditional PT, stretching, you name it. But the real relief started when I began a weekly program here. Most of my treatments were with Dr. Gutwein, but I did see Dr. Taves a couple of times. Both are great doctors, who really want to help. They helped me through the thick of it and with each treatment, my migraines became less and less frequent. I have now been migraine free for almost 6 months! If you are desperate to break the cycle of pain, give these guys a shot! They know what they’re doing. Plus, all the staff are very friendly and kind!

The team at Novera has really given me hope that I can have a future without headaches and migraines. The treatment has been tailored to my specific needs and the providers have shown me that they genuinely want their patients to get better. Highly recommend to anyone who regularly has migraines or headaches!

Sept/Oct 2021: My 9-year old had headaches for almost a year. I listened to “The Headache Doctor” podcast, and knew we had to figure out a way to see Dr Taves. We are from Michigan, but after spending 5 weeks in Colorado with Dr Taves, my daughter is headache free! So thankful we found him! Update: January 2024, headaches returned for my daughter (she is now 12, so she was headache free for 2.5 years after Dr Taves helped her the first time!) After trying SO many different providers here in Michigan again, we just had to go out to Colorado again because he is the best of the best. My daughter could literally FEEL if the provider we were working with (in Michigan) was “hitting the right spots,” and nobody was able to get to the source of the problem. Truly, I don’t think anybody in the country does what he does. We are so grateful we found him!! (She worked with Dr Gutwein AND Dr Taves this time around, and she can confirm they both felt the same in their treatments! As a mom, that’s something that I’d like to hear.) :)

Novera Headache Center has given my life back. For 3 1/2 years I lived with debilitating pain. It lingered around and I thought I might be able to just medicate it away. But Dr.Taves worked and listened to me over a period of time. He was able to tailor a treatment that met my needs. I had been to three other Doctors/Physical therapists with no real relief. But Dr. Taves found my issue! If you’re skeptical on if PT can help, you’re not alone. But this has helped me in a lasting way and I would highly recommend!
