Dr. Tioco always dreamed of being a Surgeon, even as a young kid. His love and desire to treat people led him to eventually open his own Orthopedic practice.Prior to the existence of Munster Orthopedic Institute (MOI), Dr. Jeffrey Tioco worked in Northwest Indiana for 6 years with another group of Orthopedic Surgeons. In 2007, he decided to venture off and establish his own individual practice. Initially, his office started off very small and simple at 7550 Hohman Avenue in Munster, Indiana, along with an additional and still existing location in St. John, Indiana. Damage from the flood in September of 2008 resulted in a relocation of the Hohman office to rented space inside Community Hospital for 2 years. In 2010, Dr. Tioco was able to purchase MOI's new home and now permanent location at 9132 and 9136 Columbia Avenue. Previously an aged medical office building, the entire office was reconstructed to be a new, state of the art Orthopedic facility. The expansion of the new office incorporates a brand new digital x-ray machine, a cast room, an ultrasound therapy room, 8 patient care exam rooms, physical therapy and billing administration.
