My name is Ian Barrett. I graduated from Case Western Reserve Medical Schools, completed my clinical rotations at the Cleveland Clinic, did my orthopedic residency at the Mayo Clinic, and then specialized in Sports Medicine at Stanford University. Since my first day of clinical training, my goal has always been to create my own practice that would mirror the best of the institutions that I have been a part of while elevating personalized service to a level that can only be achieved at a smaller scale. That was the dream that ultimately became Modern Orthopedics. I look forward to sharing my dream with all of my patients. Dr. Barrett is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon with a specialty training in Sports Medicine. His practice mastery extends to all arthroscopic procedures of the knee, shoulder, and hip in addition to knee and shoulder replacement. Dr. Barrett has worked with athletes from all levels of competition. He has served as the team physician for multiple high school football teams, provided medical care at several major marathon events and was actively involved in treating division I athletes while at Stanford. Most recently Dr. Barrett served as the team physician for Stanford men's basketball team.
