Dr. Chen's journey in chiropractic treatment began when he was in high school. While he was playing volleyball, an awkward landing resulted in a lower back injury that caused him severe, excruciating pain. He recalls having to be hauled off the court. He thought the pain would go away on its own, but after a week of intense, crippling pain that limited his movements, he turned to a chiropractor for help. Skeptical and wary of chiropractic effectiveness but desperate for relief, Dr. Chen impatiently sat through the initial examination. He found his chiropractor to be reassuring, supportive, and thorough in his explanations. Through a series of adjustments, electrical stimulation and acupuncture treatments, Dr. Chen's back pain eventually subsided and he was able to live life in reckless abandon once again. The wonder of his recovery amazed him and he wanted to learn more about what his chiropractor had done for him. He began to pursue a passion in the miracle of chiropractic care.
