Being a athlete most of my life has led me to a great respect and fascination with the human body. I have always revered the human form and it's mechanics. My very human side also loves the personal interaction and compassion that comes with working personally with others. This has led me to full time practice for the past 15 years. Prior to a life of massage, I graduated from St. Mary's college and grew up in Fresno, Ca. I strive for sustainability in my everyday life.I have been practicing massage therapy in the east bay since 2001, and at my current location, Moonshadow Salon in Berkeley, for 10 yrs. I've worked with Oakland's Oakbay Chiropractic (5 yrs) and the Berkeley Tuesday farmers market (5 yrs). Currently, Moonshadow Salon is my sole location.

My style includes deep tissue, swedish, trigger point , hot stones stretching and pregnancy massage. I massage from a wide variety of modalities to tailor our time to your needs. Feeling stressed out? I might offer slow deep work with hot stones and stretching. Experiencing back pain? Try side-lying massage with activated stretching while we open up the spaces between your spine and muscles. Tight shoulders get top notch treatment from hot towels, knuckles and hands. Often my massage focuses often on problem areas like back pain, sciatica, whiplash, and repetitive stress issues. But massage also can be simply soothing and calming- I will always listen to your reply to my most often asked question," So, how is your body doing today?" Because listening is the most important thing I can give you and your body.
